This year's programs will feature the anticipated return of Art Labs,Spotlight Program, and the always coveted San Diego Art Prize. Founded in 2006 by the San Diego Visual Arts Network, the San Diego Art Prize awards a cash prize and exhibition opportunities to established and emerging San Diego visual artists whose achievements merit the recognition—and each year the Art Prize recipients have a featured exhibition at Art San Diego. This year's winners are painter Alida Cervantes, multidisciplinary artists Angélica Escoto and Carlos Castro Arias, and public art duo Cog•nate Collective (Misael Diaz and Amy Sanchez Arteaga). Meet them and their curator, Chi Essary, at Art San Diego and see their work in a special exhibition.
